Kim Andres

Kim is a skilled facilitator, communicator and business leader who is internationally respected. She has more than 30 years of experience working with the Canadian credit unions system. Kim is a well-known system expert who facilitates group meetings and strategic planning sessions for individual credit unions, Centrals, subsidiary organizations as well as Credit Union Central of Canada.

For eight years, Kim led the consulting group at Credit Union Central of British Columbia (BC), now Central 1 Credit Union. During this time, she partnered with credit unions across the nation, providing a broad array of strategic, governance and operational services. She has held executive leadership positions at credit unions large and small throughout BC and in Saskatchewan. In 2008 Kim launched Andres Consulting Inc. a boutique consulting company focused on providing services to Canadian credit unions (www.AndresConsulting.ca).

Kim’s hands-on experience is complemented by a wealth of academic accomplishments. She holds a Masters of Business (MBA) degree from Queen’s University and attended the Advanced Leadership Institute at Harvard University. Kim has a Strategic Analysis for Competitive Advantage certificate from the University of British Colombia and is a Fellow with the Credit Union Institute of Canada (FCUIC). To complement these achievements, Kim is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and Certified Corporate Director (ICD.D) from the Institute of Corporate Directors, which is affiliated with Rotman's School of Management.

Kim has been recognized for her contribution to the credit union system. In 2006, she was honoured with a Rising 100 distinction from the Madison, Wisconsin-based Credit Union Executive Society. An engaging and informative orator, Kim has been a speaker at many international credit union events.
