Jeanette Wakelin
Director of Training and Education, Atlantic Central
Jeanette is a respected Human Resources professional and energetic facilitator in board and staff development. She is described by her peers as passionate, caring and creative. Having worked in the credit union system for over 20 years, Jeanette has seen first-hand the benefits of taking a personalized approach to learning and development and believed there is nothing better than a good story to illustrate a point.
Jeanette has worked closely with employees in support of professional development; having developed, facilitated and supported various programs in sales, service, operations, finance and risk management. She has also been involved in the development and implementation of the Credit Union Director Achievement Program; having developed additional programs for directors to support provincial needs.
Jeanette is a certified Sales & Service Trainer with the MOHR Development group and Supervisory Development with the PBBA Atlantic Inc. She has her BBA from the University of Prince Edward Island and, in 2008 received her MBA, specializing in Human Resource Manager, from the University of Phoenix.
Jeanette has been highlighted in “Must Thinking”: a book written by Paul Kearley, Managing Partner with the Dale Carnegie Business Group, which highlights key professionals who have been successful in achieving results.
She currently serves on the National Board of the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada and the
CUSOURCE® Board.
