Bob Upton

Manager, Nova Scotia Lending Services, Atlantic Central

Bob has an impressive 40 plus years of experience in the financial services industry, most of it connected to commercial lending. His practical knowledge of commercial lending, coupled with his use of real life examples makes his training sessions “user friendly”. This is shown through his delivery of CUSOURCE courses such as Applied Commercial Lending, Applied Commercial Loan Administration, and Financial Statement Analysis courses. The want of his user-friendly approach to facilitation has led him to teach courses across Canada and the Middle East.

Currently, Bob manages the Lending Services department of Credit Union Central of Nova Scotia which is responsible for approving commercial loans submitted by credit unions in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador. He is also responsible for commercial lending training in the two provinces.

Bob is a B.B.A. graduate from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, and a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers as well as the Credit Union Institute of Canada.
